International Day against Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking of Women and Children

23/09/2021

Human trafficking is more common than we realize and is often associated with sexual exploitation, slave labor or removal of organs for sale on the black market. Often, this practice is difficult to identify, almost invisible.

The statistics are clear: Most victims of this crime are girls and young women with limited financial resources. What’s more, they typically don’t know how to get out of the situation once they’re in it and need someone else to inform the authorities.

If you know of a case of human trafficking, report it through the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-833-900-1010.
