Youth Moving On

03/08/2020

Today we said goodbye to Patricia. She turned 18 at the end of last year, but only now felt ready to leave CLM.

We seek to support the youth that reach adulthood until they can get established on their own. We help with the cost of vocational courses or college when necessary.

Many times, we are able to offer these young people a semi-independent living situation before the leave CLM. They can live in an apartment separate from the younger kids, but still have support from the CLM staff.

When it's time to leave CLM, we often help them with living expenses for a time while they get established in their jobs. We hope in this way to gradually prepare them for life outside CLM, supporting them each step of the way.
